Naruto Mythos TCG – 1st Edition vs 2nd Edition: What's the Difference?

Naruto Mythos TCG – Set 1 Konoha Shidō: 1st Edition vs 2nd Edition Explained

If you're new to the Naruto Mythos TCG or just starting your collection, you might be wondering what the difference is between the 1st and 2nd Edition of Set 1: Konoha Shidō. Here's a quick breakdown so you know exactly what you're getting.

Same Game, Different Collectibles

Both editions share the same 200+ card set, the same gameplay mechanics, and the same lore rooted in the Hidden Leaf Village. The difference is purely on the collectible side — and it matters if you're chasing the rarest cards.

Starter Packs

The easiest way to tell the editions apart is by the Starter Pack:

  • The Naruto & Sasuke Starter Pack is a 1st Edition product, and includes two exclusive HOLO cards of Naruto and Sasuke, 4 booster packs, tokens, and a rulebook.

  • The Itachi & Kisame Starter Pack is a 2nd Edition product.

Gold Cards

Each edition features a different legendary Gold card — real 22-karat gold, micro-engraved and numbered in limited print runs:

  • 1st Edition: one Gold card (exclusive to that edition)

  • 2nd Edition: two Gold cards — Rock Lee and Sasuke

Secret Variants

Both editions include a set of numbered Secret Variant cards, but the specific variants differ between editions. If you're a completionist, you'll want to know which edition your packs came from.

Packaging

Each edition has its own dedicated packaging, making them visually distinct and easy to identify on the shelf.

Availability

Both editions are limited. 1st Edition is the earlier, more scarce release — if you find it in the wild, it's worth grabbing.
